CROSSLinC Christmas Party!

This is a very late blog about CROSSLinC.  A few weeks ago, on the tail end of summer, we had an overnight retreat with Julie F. and a whole day of fun under the hot summer sun at Club Manila East.

Julie spoke about learning to set our boundaries centered on Scripture and our different personalities on Friday night.  This was followed by Tribal Wars where the golf balls proved more challenging than they looked, then choco worms for dinner and finally sleep for those who could.  the next day began as early as 5am for some.  With our packed lunched we set off to CME for a day of boating, burning and waving.  the day ended with us tired and a shade darker from when we started.

This was fun, let's do it again!

"Wave! Wave! Wave!" were the shouts that came from the wave pool area whenever the lifeguard popped his head out from the switch area.  It sounded like shouts for V.I.P.  Which I guess he was in a way since he had the power to make the wave happen. :D

Ministry is fun when you have a bunch of good, faithful & joyful people to work with. That's the team I have at CROSSLinC. :D We had our one day training/planning today & it was a good day! They are a mix of student leaders and young adults devoted to making disicples!

Thanks for allowing God to use you @ CROSSLinC!

Yesterday was a non-working holiday here in the PI.  We took advantage of this day to bring the CROSSLinC leaders together to plan the 1st querter of 2006.  We reviewed our purpose and re-emphasisezed that we wanted to major on the major (as opposed to majoring on the minor).  The major thing was:  we wanted to be disciples Jesus Christ making disciples.

I'm thankful for a team of dedicated servant-leaders whom God has brought together to advance His Kingdom through Crosslinc.  It's a team effort.  Two are always bettern than one.  The main strategy is a weekly small group and large group gathering.  Hopefully we can keep in step with God's Spirit in determinig the direction He wants us to go to effectively win, build and send those He'll bring to us in fulfillinf His command to live and share His love and make disciples.
