There's a ton of new features that's just been added to muliply.com.

I've been trying to post video via iSight to no avail.

Anyone have any success using MAC to record & post vids?

Blog Entryweb 2.0 the facebook experienceOct 12, '07 2:16 AM
for everyone
When Facebook was still in BETA a few months ago I signed up.  Didn't get much out of it since it was confined within the www limits of USA college & unis.  Last month my high school mate Solly B sent an email to our pomhi group and invited everyone to join.  Wasn't expecting much given the past experience but got me curious enough to check out who else from HS had signed up.  Long story short, I'm now a certified FB addict.

It's great tool for connecting with long lost buds who are using it.  What's addicting are the seemingly endless applications/add-ons one can use to make it a more interactive and entertaining experience.  A bit difficult to explain.  I suggest trying it for yourself to form your own opinion.  Look me up when your in :D

Blog Entryidentity theft & my sisterOct 2, '07 10:18 PM
for everyone

Whoever of you loves life
and desires to see many good days,
keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from speaking lies.
Turn from evil and do good ;
seek peace and pursue it.
- Psalm 34:12-14

How would you feel if you found a site pretending to be yours but is not and it's intention is to hurt you and those near you?  This stuff is usually reserved for public figures and angry fans, not regular peace-loving citizens like my sis-in-law.  The other day she shared how someone had created a site on multiply.com pretending to be her and began posting things for the purpose of hurting her.  This was painful.  A little background, my sis one of kindest I know among our species.  Sure she has her flaws but not one that warrants a full-fledged effort to defame her.

I realized from her story how real identity theft/terrorism is,  though this may ba a mild form of it.  Technology is amoral. It's a sad day when a few choose to use it to sow seeds of evil in cyberspace.

Ultimately we can't prevent anyone to lie about who they are.  Hopefully our true friends and loved ones will attest to the truth of our character and disprove the lies others say about us online or otherwise.

Here are some ideas which may help curb incidents like that online:
  • Live at peace with everyone.
  • Use Multiply's ACCESS feature when designating who should be allowed to see what you've posted.
  • Choose carefully what you post for the public keeping in mind that both the righteous and the axis of evil (hehe) can gain access to it.
  • Send a message of peace to the poser/post-er with a desire to resolve any valid (true/real) issues.
  • Report any incidents to the site administrator for immediate action.
Have you experienced anything like this?  What did you do?

Have any suggestions of how to deal with such issues? Do share...

For those with multiple IM accounts and are on the net 24.59hrs of the time... this is really neat. It's all your IM in one app. No need to download any anything.
